Ok everyone!
We never got around to our big fun game at the reunion - Happy Crappy! Here are the ground rules...
1) Name a happy thing that has happened to you in the past year (or month or week), and a crappy thing that has happened in the past year (or month or week)
2) Start with the crappy...end with the happy.
3) You can have as many happies as you want, but only one crappy...no whiners, people!
Ready? Leave you happy / crappy as a comment to this post!

My crappy...
Nothing majorly bad has happened to me this year, so I'll go with something that happened today. A lady that I have worked with for OVER A YEAR introduced me to someone as Meredith McDermis. Her office is right next to mine and we are technically equals in the organization. She really ditzy, but still...ouch.
My happies...
I got my MBA...yeah for being done!
I get to meet someone famous on Monday...The real MAYTAG MAN! I know, everyone is very jealous right now.
Happy - I won the Pfaff Pfriends Pfinal Pfour bracket tourny.
In the crapper -- All the negatives physicalities of getting older + adult acne = NOT FAIR!!!
Meredith, I'm so glad you started this. I was sad we did not do it at the reunion. Here goes:
Crappy - It's been a good year but a major adjustment year. I guess the crappy is that I've fallen twice in my heels, all dressed up walking on city sidewalks. The last time was with my boss in front of Arlington ISD building. Too embarrassing.
Happy - Taking Carly and Conrad to Six Flags and being at the hospital when Shelby was born. You guys just wait - Someday you'll know just how much fun grandkids are!
The only crappy I can think of at the moment is all the home improvements we have had or need to make. We replaced the a/c units. Who knew those were the price of a compact car?? We still need to do some fence work, but as you know, it's 100 degrees in DFW for awhile!
I'm having a really hard time coming up with a happy for the past year...ha! Obviously, Shelby is the ultimate happy in my entire life. You would think the c-section would be a crappy, but I even consider that a happy. It allowed me to have 2 more weeks off from work, and the recovery wasn't even that bad!
Another highlight that comes to mind is the time Mom and I have gotten to spend together. She help me finish painting the nursery, and we have cooked a TON of meals to freeze for later. It's been nice having her close!
hey, happy August ya'll! for 2008 my happy crappy looks something like this
Happy, - my first plate of enchiladas and iced tea in June at a little hole in the wall place in kerrville after I returned from africa/europe.
Crappy- Job searching has been the worst thing Ive had to go through, I ve had some productive interviews so i know its almost over, but its still crappy
Well, OKAY!! Expenses and changes in Gary's work have been a real problem this year...and I am the business manager. Enough said!!
My triumph was making it all the way to the top of the Duomo in Florence. 1,000,000 steps up the claustrophobic spiral stairs crowded with tourists who didn't speak my language. Well, it seemed like a million steps, and I am pretty old. Justus and Andrew took good care of me, and I had faith that they would have hauled me out if I passed out!
Can I just post for my little family? Our happies and crappies were group ones.....
So the crappy... um, yeah. Rob's job at the Gear got worse, then a little worse, and job hunting is an AWFUL thing (hang in there Justy!) but stay tuned...
For the happy--
Rob took a new job at Utility Engineering (now Zachry Engineering) and it's been a super change.
AND....
we're expecting baby #2 in April!
Congratulations! I'd say that's a definite HAPPY!
You know the birthstone for April is a diamond? Good choice! Congratulations!
Yea!! April babies are the best!
Crappy is that I'm not through with school yet...
Happy is that Carson got a new job that he's really likes!! Yeah for Bank of America!! And that the Chicken Ranch is doing well!!
Congrats Robert and Wendy!!
